misses dog shoots woman

There have been many shootings in St. Louis, Missouri this year. We have a report to bring you of one that happened last week that involved a dog as well.

According to the news story, St. Louis Metropolitan Police officers and Division of Family Service (DSF) workers were inside the home, where a double homicide had occurred the night before, attempting to remove a 1-year old child from the residence when the family’s dog who was in the kitchen reportedly jumped over a waist-high barricade and ran toward the officers.

Fearing a dog attack, one of the officer’s fired at the dog. However, instead of striking the dog, the bullet hit the dog’s owner instead.

Fortunately the woman’s injury is minor however the dog was taken by animal control.
